How to make a batch of videos

Plan the source files, changes, review, and posting for one video batch.

Plan the finished video

Write down who will watch the video. Pick the opening, the demo, and the next step. Decide what will stay the same in every version.

For an app demo, use one real screen recording. You can try three different openings. For a product, use one approved video for several use cases.

  • Source files: approved videos, screenshots, product facts, and brand files.
  • What changes: the opening, voice-over, or ending you want to test.
  • Final video: length, shape, captions, and review checks.

Connect the steps you repeat

A workflow can cut clips, make voice-over, add audio, and add captions. Connect these steps once, then use them for the whole batch.

Tell each step what to use. Put approved facts in the script. Use a current screen recording. Keep each final video linked to its source files.

Plan your first batch

Choose what you are making and whether your files are ready. The planner will make a checklist for you.

What are you producing?
Where do your assets stand?

Brief

  • Name the audience, the opening, the thing you will demonstrate and the action at the end — on one page.
  • Source: One current screen recording with sample data you can share.
  • Attach the approved inputs to the brief so the batch starts from one source of truth.

Produce

  • Connect the repeating jobs — cutting, narration, captions — so every video in the batch follows the same path.
  • Variation: Three openings, each aimed at a different audience problem.

Review

  • Watch each output with sound and without it, at phone size.
  • Check the first frame, subtitle placement and product accuracy against the brief.

Publish

  • Assign each video an account destination, caption and release instruction.
  • Record the source, version and published result so the next batch is a decision, not a guess.

Check every video before posting

Watch every video with sound on and off. Check the first frame, captions, product facts, and final action.

After approval, choose the account, date, and caption for each video. Keep this posting plan with the video.

Learn from each batch

Save the source, version, and posted result. Change one main thing in each test. This helps you learn what worked.
