Before hiring one, follow a post through publication, submission and payment: on Vyro, views earned before submission do not enter the campaign count. Leaving that step until tomorrow can exclude views earned today.
What is a clipping agency?
A clipping agency can provide editing, campaign management or managed distribution through company accounts, dedicated pages or independent clippers. Choose the service around the work you need owned: turning long-form content into short clips, coordinating participants, or getting approved work published. Compare proposals by the missing capability:
| Purchase | What you receive | What still needs an owner |
|---|---|---|
| Clip editing | Approved short videos from your footage | Publishing and results |
| Campaign management | Briefing, participant coordination, submission review and reward administration | Footage, brand decisions and the viewer's destination |
| Managed distribution | Agreed posts on specified accounts and delivery reporting | Creative production, unless included |
A founder supplying a weekly interview may need an editor for podcast clipping on the company page. A creator seeking additional audiences may need a participant campaign. An agency with finished clips waiting to go live may need posting capacity. For a short-form content agency proposal, ask suppliers to price each included service separately.
How does a clipping campaign work?
In a reward campaign, the content owner supplies footage and requirements. Participants make edits, publish them on permitted accounts and submit the post URLs. The campaign reviews those submissions and applies its reward rules. The agency may manage this process without owning the accounts that publish.
Ask the agency to walk you through one post: source footage, published URL, submission record, review decision and payment status. A live URL shows that someone published it. The submission and payment records show whether it became a campaign result.
Make submission part of publishing
Vyro's view-counting explanation, updated October 1, 2026, gives a small but consequential example:
Public views when the post is submitted: 100
Public views later: 1,000
Views shown by Vyro: 900
1,000 − 100 = 900The missing 100 views arrived before submission. Vyro also refreshes its counter every 30 minutes, so check timing before treating a mismatch as a tracking fault.
For a Vyro campaign, make submission part of the publisher's job and record the starting counter. Otherwise the editor, publisher and campaign manager can each assume someone else completed the step. Check the equivalent rule on whichever platform your agency uses.
Ask the agency:
When does this campaign start counting views, who submits each post, and where can I see the publication time, submission time and starting view count?
Then request separate columns for public views, campaign-counted views, approval and settled rewards. That keeps a counting discrepancy separate from a payment still awaiting approval.
In a performance-based CPM reward campaign, the rate is per thousand payable views. At a hypothetical $2 CPM, 100,000 eligible views would earn $200 before applicable deductions or caps. That rate describes the participant's reward; ask separately what management and publishing cost. Whop's Content Rewards terms make payment conditional on approval, legitimate views, available payout limits and the offer's end date. Save the actual offer alongside the report. If a quote says “verified views,” ask which counter and review decision that label refers to. For the full invoice and reward calculations, see clipping agency pricing and ROI.
What is the best clipping agency?
The best clipping agency for your brief can show how it selects complete thoughts, preserves context and handles the publishing or campaign work you need. Ask candidates to explain an edit from footage you know well. Caption styling alone does not show that an editor understands the source creator or audience.
In his September 29, 2025 interview with Russell Brunson, clipper Emrah Bayraktar recommends concentrating on no more than two campaigns, at 19:25–21:06. He says spreading his attention across campaigns did not work for him. That is one practitioner's experience, not a staffing limit for an agency.
Turn that into an audition. Give the candidate footage you know well and ask for a selected moment, its source timestamp and a short explanation of the choice. Ask what needs to stay in the edit to preserve the speaker's meaning. You want to know whether they can make the next selection well, too.
Use the exercise to write a shared editorial brief. Here is a fictional product-interview example with a bounded first batch:
Source: four recorded product interviews we control.
First batch: 12 approved vertical edits.
Audience: operators evaluating the workflow being demonstrated.
Keep: the problem, the demonstrated action and its stated limitation.
Remove: repetition that does not change the meaning.
Opening: make the viewer's problem understandable without the full episode.
Review: explain any cut that could change the speaker's claim.
Destination: the full demonstration, where the platform supports a link.
Publishing: our company accounts on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts;
participant distribution quoted separately.
Approval: our content lead signs off the first batch before publication.
Report: source timestamp, edit ID, post URL, account and publish time;
submission time, starting count, counted views and payment status.
Budget: separate editing, posting, management and reward funding.
Next batch: a separate decision after reviewing this batch's report.Replace its audience and destination with yours, then use it to explain acceptance decisions. If you reject a clip, point to the missing context or changed claim so the next submission can improve.
Does permission to clip also secure distribution?
Permission to clip footage does not secure recommendation or monetization; those require separate platform checks.
On October 1, 2026, TeamYouTube announced a Shorts recommendation update. Channels mainly compiling or reposting other creators' videos with little substantive change would likely receive less Shorts-feed distribution. The announcement points creators toward original commentary, distinctive editing and storytelling rather than cosmetic template changes.
Separately, YouTube's reused-content monetization policy can apply even when the original creator has given permission. Neither source gives you a reach-loss percentage or a fixed editing recipe that guarantees eligibility.
For brand safety, put three questions to the agency:
- What permission covers this footage and the proposed use?
- What original editorial contribution does the finished clip make?
- How does the channel's overall output support the distribution plan?
For the second question, put the source beside the proposed edit and ask what commentary, argument or story the agency added. If the explanation ends at a new caption font, it has not answered the originality question in YouTube's announcement. Use that comparison when approving samples, before committing to a channel full of the same format.
Write the permitted uses into the agreement: source footage, platforms, edits, later reuse and paid ads if required. Establish who can request corrections or removal. A public source URL alone does not establish permission for commercial redistribution.
How can you verify a clipping agency's case studies?
Verify a supplier's case study by identifying who hired the supplier, which posts it made and which results belong to those posts. A clip featuring a famous brand can be real work without the brand having hired that agency.
In his October 28, 2025 video, Nathan Johnson explains at 3:02–4:55 how participants can use results from open reward campaigns to win freelance and agency work. They build a portfolio through campaign participation before landing direct clients.
Treat those posts as evidence of the participant's editing and distribution skill. Check separately who hired them and which results they produced.
When we audited public clipping-campaign records in August 2026, we found a related attribution problem: the listed promoter could be an intermediary agency. The brand featured in the campaign and the party running it were not necessarily the same business. Our audit examined marketplace fields; it did not verify private contracts or completed payouts.
Ask the supplier to label its role:
Relationship: direct client / subcontractor / open-campaign participant.
Work performed: moment selection, editing, publishing or campaign management.
Evidence: exact post URLs and the accounts used for those posts.
Result: performance attributable to those posts, with dates.
Scope: which parts of the wider campaign other people handled.Match the evidence to the job you need filled. For editing, inspect the participant's actual posts. For campaign management, also ask for the brief, review queue, budget reconciliation and report they managed. A successful edit alone leaves those responsibilities untested.
Who owns the accounts and audience after the campaign?
Independent clippers can retain their own accounts and followers after a campaign; agree access and handover separately for any client-controlled accounts.
In the Bayraktar interview, Brunson discusses independent clippers controlling their own pages at 22:18–22:39. Buying posts through those pages does not automatically give the brand their followers or account access afterward.
Specify whether the agency will publish to your existing accounts, independent participant pages or client-controlled managed accounts. For managed accounts, establish access and handover. For participant pages, agree how long clips remain live and who can request changes or removal.
Also specify the audience action you want. In-feed awareness, followers on your main page and full-episode starts need different reporting. Adding post views together does not establish unique viewers or movement to your own properties.
Does the agency's location establish the audience's location?
An agency address, a clipper's residence and viewer geography are separate facts. Our August 2026 geography research found no reliable public country breakdown for the communities examined; it did not establish a percentage of US-resident clippers.
For a US-only offer, request native audience analytics for the proposed accounts, with the reporting period visible. Agree how audience geography will appear in the campaign report. French-language clips and viewers located in France are different requirements, too. Specify the audience you need; historical geography helps assess fit without promising the next post's audience.
How should you scope the first batch and agreement?
The first batch should define accepted edits, revisions, confirmed posts and a spending ceiling before a recurring commitment. Use the editorial audition to set acceptance criteria and agree the source allowance. Name the person who approves edits and the person who handles participant questions and disputed submissions.
Put the agreed account arrangements and clip-reuse rights beside the deliverables. For reward campaigns, record the rate, payable-view definition, minimums, per-post cap, overall budget, submission deadline and review procedure. Ask what happens to unspent reward funds when the campaign ends.
Review the whole batch: accepted edits, rejected work, live URLs, failed posts and time spent reviewing and correcting. Our August profitability research proposed a feasibility pilot; it did not demonstrate a profitable clipping operation. A page of winning clips leaves out the attempts that consumed time without producing a payable result.
For business outcomes, choose a destination and measurement window before launch. Track full-episode starts, qualified visits or demo requests where practical, using campaign links or codes. Keep those actions separate from views and from sales you can establish were additional. Decide whether the next batch is justified by the original objective and total work required.
When should you not hire a clipping agency?
Choose an editor when the missing deliverable is a useful clip for an account you already operate. A campaign adds work: participant questions, publication checks, submissions, reviews and reconciliation. Someone still needs authority to make decisions.
Wait if you cannot supply usable footage or approve edits consistently. Before signing, have the agency reconcile a post's view count, label its role in a case study and explain the editorial contribution in a proposed clip. Those checks put the campaign's main promises in front of you.
If your agency already makes the clips and needs more distribution capacity, talk to EntireFeed about account infrastructure and operations to handle more business while you keep control of clients and quality.
Frequently asked questions
Clipping buyers should check payment eligibility, production responsibilities and who will administer the campaign before commissioning work.
Is clipping a legitimate way to make money?
Paid campaigns exist, but publication and a public view count do not establish earnings. Check the submission, eligibility, approval and payment rules for the actual offer before committing work.
What is an AI clipping agency?
It is an agency using AI for parts of production. Ask who is responsible for moment selection, factual meaning, publication and campaign administration. The label does not define those responsibilities.
Can I run a clipping campaign without an agency?
Yes, if you can manage the work yourself. Before inviting participants, prepare the footage, editorial brief, publishing requirements, submission process and reward terms. Assign review and reconciliation to a named owner.
